What data we process and why

To fulfil an order, we process the customer’s name, contact details, delivery address, shopping cart, payment status and order history. The legal basis is entering into and performing a contract (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and, for accounting records, compliance with a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)). We do not operate a newsletter or use an email marketing service provider. If you ask us to tell you when an item that is out of stock or not yet released becomes available, we store your email address together with the product you asked about. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a)) and the only use is that single notification. Reply to the confirmation email and we delete the record.

Recipients and transfers

Data may be processed for the stated purposes by Cloudflare (hosting and database), Stripe (payment), and Omniva (delivery). We do not use a newsletter or email marketing service provider. When transferring data outside the European Economic Area, we use an appropriate safeguard, such as the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Stripe receives card details directly; we do not store them.

If you consent to marketing tracking, Meta/Facebook receives hashed contact details and the purchase value to measure advertising. You can withdraw that consent at any time; the shop continues to work in the same way.

Retention

We retain order and accounting records for seven years in accordance with the retention obligation arising from the Estonian Accounting Act. We retain support correspondence for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the claim.

Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase or restrict your data, to object to processing, to receive your data in a portable format, and to withdraw consent. Send requests to info@appliedutilitylabs.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Estonian Data Protection Inspectorate (aki.ee).

We do not make automated decisions that have legal or similarly significant effects on you. Essential cookies may be used to operate the service; marketing tracking is not activated without consent.
