Magnetic cable holder

A wider opening angle helps reduce the risk of hinge damage when a cable catches or is pulled sideways.

A cable pulled sideways can force a hinged cover against its opening stop, placing load on the hinge. The AUL cable holder uses a cover that opens to approximately 180 degrees, allowing it to fold almost completely out of the way. This gives the cover more freedom to move before reaching its limit, reducing the risk of damage if the cable is accidentally pulled or caught on something. A neodymium magnet keeps the cover closed during normal use while allowing it to be opened easily by hand.
